CSSA Breeder Referral Information

The Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Association (CSSA) provides breeder referral information as a courtesy to those seeking a responsibly bred Shetland Sheepdog. Prospective owners are invited to contact their Regional Director, as listed on the CSSA website, who may assist in directing inquiries to CSSA members breeding in accordance with the objectives of the Association.

The CSSA does not recommend, endorse, guarantee, inspect, or evaluate breeders, kennels, breeding programs, or individual dogs. The CSSA, its Directors, Officers, and Regional Directors assume no responsibility or liability for the health, temperament, quality, registration, or suitability of any dog, nor for any representations, warranties, or guarantees made by breeders or sellers. All agreements are strictly between buyer and seller as private individuals.

The CSSA reserves the right to refuse or withdraw breeder referral assistance at its discretion, including where a member is not in good standing with the Association.

Buyer Responsibility: Buyers are solely responsible for verifying all details prior to purchase, including registration, health testing, titles, contracts, and terms of sale.
